Central Florida Hiking Trails
Lately, as the clock runs down, we have had a flurry of hiking activity. The kids know to expect 2 hours of walking each day, and a long one on the weekend. It's not an easy thing to get excited about in Florida in late May and June, but needs must and all of that.
Three things that help make it tolerable:
1. Bring the goats as often as possible. Who doesn't love the distraction of goats?
2. Bring Friends. We have been joined by several, and it always helps... Thanks cousins, Gibsons, Ewerts, Hunts, etc!
3. Variety is the spice of hiking. Rain has helped, but we have also been checking out lots of new trails. There are a surprising number of them. The phosphate industry makes for surprisingly interesting reclaimed terrain.
We have consolidated these hikes into a playlist on our YouTube channel. If you are thinking of a hike in the area, scroll through. These are not terribly informative videos, but they will give you a sense of the place.

Here's the latest one from a great walk down Highway 39... Thanks to the Ewerts for coming along and making it fun.
