Vince: Alafia State Park
Friday Homeschool was not in session, so we packed up the goats and went to Alafia River State Park after dropping Aiden off at school.
We parked at the North entrance, elected Henry the leader, and meandered our way through the park at his whim. Florida landscapes are... well... even more interesting after the phosphate industry has come an gone. There are fingers of pits and pits grown over, and hills up and down. The north side of the park has contours less harsh than the south end. Henry likes leading, and he likes the landscape. He offered his acclaim unsolicited, "This is the best of our awful hikes."
Looks like we will be back, and back, and back over the next months.
